Format Journal Entries

The journal editor has several options that let you format the text of your journal.

The keyboard accessory toolbar, positioned just above the keyboard in the editor, displays the , and buttons. You use these buttons to toggle bold, italic and underlined text, respectively.

If you want greater control over your text formatting, open the text format view by tapping the button on the keyboard accessory toolbar.

The text format view displays the following buttons that you use to format the text of your journal entries:

Title formats the paragraph appropriately for a title.

Heading formats the paragraph appropriately for a heading.

Body formats the paragraph for the main body of an entry.

Monospaced formats the paragraph for numeric tables by using a monospaced font so all the letters and digits line up vertically.

formats an item in a numbered list.

formats an item in a bulleted list.

increases the indentation of the paragraph.

decreases the indentation of the paragraph.

aligns the text of the paragraph to the left.

aligns the text of the paragraph in the center.

aligns the text of the paragraph to the right.

Choose one of the color buttons from the row at the bottom to change the color of the text.

When the text format view is open, tap the button to close it and show the keyboard.
